TYPES OF BLASTING MEDIA

All blasting media of our product range are free of silicogenic, carcinogenic and toxic constituents and comply with the TRGA 503 Hazardous Substance Ordinance for blasting media.

METALLIC BLASTING MEDIA

Metallic blasting media come in angular or spherical basic shapes. These media are manufactured from a wide range of materials such as pig iron , chilled cast iron, cast steel, nonferrous metals etc. They can be used in a variety of grain sizes and have different grades of hardness.

GLASS BEADS

Glass blasting beads consist of approx.. 71 % silicon where the silicon dioxide is chemically bonded. The specific weight is 2.48 and the hardness is 5.5-6 based on the Mosh scale.

CORUNDUM

Blasting corundum consists of 81 or 95-99 % aluminum oxide with an Si02 component that is chemically bonded. The hardness based on the Mosh scale is close to 10.

PLASTIC

Plastic blasting media are made of polyamide 6. These blasting media are available in cubic or cylindrical form and are available in different grain sizes.

NATURAL SHELL GRANULATE

Organic blasting media are manufactured from natural products such as walnut shells, olive stones and the like. They are available in a wide range of grain sizes.
